Imperfect Sage Mountain Bar Soap - Inconsistent Coloring or Stearic Acid Spots
These bars of soap have stearic spots in the soap. They are still safe to use.
Fats are made up of a mix of different fatty acids. Stearic acid is one of these fatty acids. Harder oils like Coconut or Palm oil have much higher amounts than other oils. Stearic Acid spots in soap is caused by harder oils like coconut or palm not being heated up enough, and the stearic acid not fully melting and mixing with the rest of the fatty acids in the oil, which causes small white crumbly spots in the soap. Besides look/feel, it doesn't affect the final product and the soap is still perfectly safe to use. The weight, scent, performance, and grit is exactly the same as our normal Candy Apple" soap.
*Imperfect Soap does not come in a box.
